There are some wonderful day tours to see the sites of the city. We can help you book these at reception. The day trips to Akaroa (originally settled by the French) takes around 75 minutes. Alternatively Hanmer Springs (with great walks and hot spring pools) will take you about 1 hour 40 minutes. These two picturesque towns are easily accessible from Christchurch. You can self drive or we can arrange a shuttle bus for you.

The very highly rated World Buskers festival is back in Christchurch during 19 to 29 January this year. Make Lorenzo your base for enjoying this wonderful entertainment.

The flowers are returning. The Ellerslie International Flower Show is back. The organizers have announced that Christchurch will again host the show from 7 to 11 March 2012. The Festival of Flowers precedes this and is featured in the Botanical Gardens from 17 February to 4 March 2012.
